A 3-day expedition into Egypt’s otherworldly Western Desert, where you’ll explore the chalk-white rock formations of the White Desert, volcanic hills of the Black Desert, and hidden oases. This adventure blends off-road exploration, camping under starry skies, and encounters with Egypt’s wild, untouched beauty.
- Morning, Pickup from Cairo or Giza in a 4x4 Jeep, Drive 4–5 hours to Bahariya Oasis.
- Lunch Traditional Egyptian meal at a local guesthouse.
- Afternoon, Explore the Black Desert volcanic hills and dark sandstone peaks, Visit Crystal Mountain and Aqabat Valley.
- Evening, Camp in the White Desert, Enjoy a Bedouin style dinner and stargazing.
- Morning, Sunrise hike among the iconic limestone formations mushroom-shaped rocks, Chicken & Tree formation.
- Afternoon, Visit Ain Khadra a desert spring and Djara Cave prehistoric rock art, Optional sandboarding on dunes.
- Evening, Return to camp for storytelling around the fire and another night under the stars.
- Morning, Breakfast in the desert. Stop at Bahariya Oasis for a dip in the hot springs.
- Afternoon, Drive back to Cairo, arriving by 5 PM.
